Taking On A New Challenge: Winning Solos

Winning Solos is a text ad exchange that I recently took over from a friend, John Harding. Before you think that this is another one of those marketing posts, think again. I guess I just want to tell a little bit of my story since I started my online marketing journey.
The last quarter of the year marks the start of the second year since I started taking online marketing really seriously. Back then I only had a vague idea of what I wanted or needed to do. But I did have a dream and an overzealous enthusiasm that somehow keeps me going till now.
Countless hours were spent on reading, learning, attending webinars here and there, and interacting with other marketers. Well, I can't say I'm where I want to be already, but each step of the way I make smaller and more concrete goals. When I started, all I wanted then was to have my own self-hosted site, which I do have now. I do enjoy maintaining my site where I also share helpful information for those who are just starting out.
Now on my second year, I feel that I'm ready to take on a new challenge and chose to own a text ad exchange called Winning Solos. Owning a program has been my goal right after having my own site. I feel the need to apply all that I've learned and continue to learn in my journey. It's just perfect timing that my friend was looking for someone to take over his site as he also owns another text ad exchange and has not been able to grow the site. I actually like text ad exchanges because they provide advertising for online marketers. I use similar sites as well so the thought of being an admin/owner of one such site is something I look forward to.
Promoting and increasing traffic as well as membership of Winning Solos is my latest goal. I must say that's what I do mostly these days, so if you happen to bump into me in cyberspace, I'd probably say I'm busy promoting my text ad exchange. LOL! ^_^ It's fun, however, and something I enjoy too. So for those who are thinking of starting out a venture, think of something that also appeals to your interest. If you like what you're doing, it certainly doesn't feel like work at all. I hope to share more stories next time around. For now, I'm off to another busy day of spreading the word about my new site, Winning Solos Text Ad Exchange!
Updates (22/09/2012) : I still own and run Winning Solos T.A.E. To date, we have over 200 members as compared to 19 when I first took over. On another platform, I recently shared how I came to own Winning Solos T.A.E. It's not a story that I share every day. And it's a story whose ending is still being written to this day. I've a current goal of reaching 500 members to make it to the Friday Night List -- a downline builder site for T.A.E.'s with at least 500 members. Read more when you follow my link.
